It is truly a fine experience to discover artisans who have a passion for excellence in what they produce. The Van der Liecks’ are fifth generation producers of delicious hand made sausages and cured meats in a fine European tradition. Oyama produces some of the best sausages and meats for the top chefs and restaurants of Vancouver and was voted “Best Producer/Supplier of the Year” by Vancouver Magazine in 2004. We enjoyed a highly informative and fascinating tour with John Van der Lieck as well as a magnificent tasting of excellent products accompanied by glasses of German gewürztraminer and Australian shiraz.
